Your ethnic jokes get very old after a while. When will you get new stuff?[/i]

Dat told us yesterday that he has 20 minutes of new material, much of which has nothing to do with his mom. a thought to remember, in comedy, as with anything, it is best to stick with what you know. Dat knows the ethnic stuff.

I will be glad to hear the new stuff too.

However, I have found with many of the comics that I like, that I can watch their act over and over and still find it funny. I have hours of taped HBO specials from Ellen Degeneres, Chris Rock, Bill Cosby, Jeff Foxworthy, Larry the Cable Guy, etc. AND Dat Phan, all of which I have watched numerous times and find just as funny as the first time I watched their sets.

So although I am looking forward to the new stuff, I always like the mom jokes as well. Those jokes made me laugh and vote for him when he was on LCS, and they were just as funny when I saw him live, and just as funny when I spot him on TV.

Gina, I KNEW there was a kindred spirit in you. My list almost mimics your list, except I would include Bill Engvall and Ron White. I would also include Robin WIlliams and Dennis Miller.

I only found out about Larry the Cable Guy six months ago when I saw the comedy central special with Foxworthy, Engvall and White.

You should check out Larry's website: www.larrythecableguy.com

Currently, he has reserved his front page to honor President Reagan, but normally it is a journal of his travels.

Bill Engvall: I was at the shopping center the other day. I saw a man with a coat hangar trying to stuff it into the window of his car. I looked at him and said, "Lock you keys in the car?"

The Man: "Nope, I just got my car washed and now I'm hangin it up to dry."
