because not many people have IRC clients, and Java Clients are crappy. besides, we aren't going to get a chat room because no one uses it. |
One of the major reasons nobody uses it is beacuse there is no way to indicate if anyone is on chat, like on any IM program you know who's online. Well, there is that thing at the bottom of the forum screen that says who's on chat, but it is hard to notice. Also, a good way to get people to use it is to have a once a week chat meet. I think the best solution would be to advertise it more around the site. I know I always forget to go on chat because I forget it's there. If there was more links around the site, I think it would be used more. I know I would use it more. Or, we could just have MSN Messenger meets. But then again, not everyone has MSNM.
