Raised on a diet of gospel music, it was a natural progression for Seven Davis Jr to enter the genre himself as a trained vocalist. Supplementing his mainstay with music from the likes of Michael Jackson, NIKE LEBRON 14 Prince, Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin, Seven then explored more underground artists like Jimi Hendrix, Tricky and Bjork, before venturing into the house scene during his early adulthood. This eclectic melting pot of music resulted in Seven’s idiosyncratic style, one which at first was too ahead of its time for many major labels. As he took the time to hone his sound he produced some of the most fascinating, raw, rugged, disco-flecked, heat-warped funk and soul sounds. You’re going to have to excuse the hyperbole and instead visit some of his productions yourself via his SoundCloud for a refresher – or an introduction. Based on a 1956 Oldsmobile, the hand-built car you see here is the first ever officially-licensed Batmobile. Unlike all the more recent Batmobiles – say Christopher Nolan’s tumbler, Tim Burton’s version, the customized Lincoln from the 1960s TV series, or Zack Snyder’s upcoming vehicle – this is the only one based on the first design from the original 1940s comic books. The key elements: a massive center tail fin, NIKE INTERNATIONALIST WOMEN CHAUSSURES swooping lines, and a bat face grill. Heritage Auctions, who are selling this gem, say it toured the USA as an official Batman promo vehicle before the customized Lincoln Futura concept from the TV show came to be.
