notice when we're looking at funny pictures, we're all trying to copy how the people on tv judge art

shows how much tv influences u, good thing i dont watch those movies on drugs at school, i'd be so high :lol:

when you see a pollock up close, it is absolutely breath taking because they are huge, and you can look at how he combines color and texture... when it's so small you don't really get the flavor

the story behind it was that marat was a revolutionary who was stirring things up a little to much, kinda like thomas paine - and he was stabbed by his mistress while in the tub writing his new piece... it's so touching because david was really able to capture grief, betrayal, sorrow, and a broken heart all in one piece... absolutely wonderful

Yoink...do you have to quote the picture to comment on it? Kind of pointless having to look at it twice...for some it may take a long time to load on their page.

i saw it in the kid's tv shiow "Arthur" when binky finds out that the painting was put upside down. I like modern art.... my room looks pretty modern... yellow, red, red, blue

modriaan's work is extemely famous... this piece is probably more familiar



his work is monumentally important in the evolution of art in the 20th century
